OTPF Quote:

All people need to be able or enabled to engage in the occupations of their need and choice, to grow through what they do, and to experience independence or interdependence, equality, participation, security, health, and well-being. (Wilcock & Townsend, 2008, p. 198)

Introduction

Hello! We are students of the Master of Occupational Therapy program at Chatham University.  We are assigned to Eden Hall campus for our OTH 644 Fieldwork I-C and Seminar class.  Our role as occupational therapy students at Eden Hall campus is to evaluate the site, complete a needs assessment for a population this site serves, and then plan four potential programs that could be implemented on this site based on our evaluation and needs assessment results.

Our mission is two-fold.  The first part is for us to learn higher level management and leadership skills, as well as explore and define the unique role of occupational therapists in a community-based setting like Eden Hall campus.  The second part is to educate Chatham graduate students and make them aware that Eden Hall campus is available for their use at any time.  Eden Hall campus has multiple amenities that fits the interests of many students.  We want to encourage Chatham students to use the amenities to achieve a healthy balance amidst the busy college schedule.
